if a band plays a club but nobody hears it…
Ok so David Cook and his band played their first gig together last night in L.A.’s Viper Room night club. The news came from Bob Skib, the father of Cook’s friend and band mate, Andy Skib.
The good news is that they sounded great and seemed as if they’d been playing together for years and that photos will most likely appear next week in magazines like People, EW, etc.
The bad news is that Viper is Johnny Depp’s nightclub and is, therefore, more of a private club. For this reason even if fans were there it isn’t likely they took any videos or amateur photos that will appear on Youtube or anywhere else. Due to paparazzi concerns the camera would have been confiscated or the patron would be asked to stop shooting immediately. Still it’s nice to know they’ll be good on Saturday.
