So just two more days until David Cook’s appearance on SNL, although technically the musical guest doesn’t appear until after midnight so he’ll be on Sunday. So far nothing about the show is known but I do know that the band has been in New York City at least since last night because they posted it on Myspace.
I for one would like to see David appear in a sketch or two but since it is the last live episode before the presidential election, the show will most likely been very politically minded so who knows if they will have time for Cook in a sketch.
Another thing I’ve been wondering about is what songs will be performed. Light Onseems like a sure bet but the musical guest usually does at least two numbers- last week Coldplay did three, which I assume was because Amy Pohler went into labor and they had to cut stuff (Why couldn’t she wait another week). So will the other song be something new(hope hope), a cover (probably not because after Idol he probably wants to showcase his own stuff), or Time of my Life (while this is on the album and was his winning song, it has been played everywhere since May, so it might be over kill to perform something everyone has heard).
