So if you haven’t made it out to Las Vegas and don’t plan to, fear not there are still ways for you to enjoy David Cook before next year. Aside from searching the thousands of youtube videos that have been made (and reading fan fictions if that’s your thing- personally I think they are creepy) ,there is also DC Comics.
http://dcomics.davidcook.com.br/
Basically some artistic genius has come up with these comics based on a caricature of David Cook and his friends. But why they are different from Fan fiction (aside from the cartoon aspect) is that they are children. It’s kind of like that show little Bush.
So far there have been appearances from Little Andrew Cook, Little David, and most recently Little Andy Skib. If you have a second, check it out.

I had a complete mind fart last night and did not remember to tell all of you that Saturday Night Live was repeating the episode hosted by Ben Affleck and starring, I mean featuring, musical guest David Cook. Hopefully all of you saw it the first time or managed to catch it even though I didn’t mention it.
I did watch the performances again; I was watching Tropic Thunder but stopped it at midnight and then again at a quarter to one so that I could see the episode. Even though I’ve watched it a bunch of times off of my DVR, it’s always a great thing to watch because it was the first TV performance with the whole band.

People have been complaining that David Cook hasn’t Blogged in a while. Personally if it was my vacation and people were doing that on my official website, I’d make them longer but he didn’t. He’s what he had to say:
“OK, as I write this, I am putting the finishing touches on gift wrapping for the first time in literally 3 years. It’s been amazing just to be able to buy gifts this year, as opposed to convincing my brother to throw my name on things, and I’ll pay him back. (Which I never could…). By the way, I’m still holding out hope that he forgot about my little IOU, so keep it to yourself…
I certainly hope that each of you have an incredibly happy holiday season. Eat good food, get some cool stuff, GIVE some cool stuff, but most importantly, enjoy the time with the ones you care about. The one’s who let you show up to Christmas without presents and still love you all the same. It makes it all the sweeter when you finally get to pay them back for their patience. ☺
See you guys in ’09.
~D
P.S. – If you’re looking for something to fill that last little space at the rim of the stocking…. There’s a certain album by a certain person that may fit perfectly. (DISCLAIMER: FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO DO NOT UNDERSTAND THE HINT… THE SELF-TITLED ALBUM FROM DAVID COOK IS ON SALE NOW!!!!)
Sorry… had to be done. Happy Holidays, guys.”

Well with David Cook spending a quiet vacation home with his family, and with the rest of his band doing the same (I assume from their lack of being around) I just wanted to take time out of the usual David related chatter to wish everyone out there a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Furthermore, since my readers may not be Catholic or Christians and since I don’t want to exclude anyone, happy Chanukah or Merry Cuanza or whatever holiday you choose to celebrate, I hope it is a nice day (or days) for all of you.

That adorable dog eating David Cook’s album is the fantastic Mr Sixx (named after Motley Crue bassist Nikki Sixx.) Sixx is the pet, as I mentioned in a November post introducing Neal Tiemann. However, he is the most awesome dog to exist on this planet since Snoopy.
While he can’t fly an airplane, he can dance, play tennis and is a bi-curious Mormon divorcée. Where do I get this information from? Well his MySpace page of course (yeah that’s right he has a MySpace page, does your dog have a MySpace? Yeah, Didn’t think so.)
If those things aren’t enough, he also gets to hang out with David Cook, Neal Tiemann, Kyle Peek, Andy Skib, and Joey Clement the coolest band in the world. So go check out Mr. Sixx (http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewProfile&friendID=149560136) and get ready to feel inferior to a dog.

David Cook fans are known for their charitable ways, something that is not lost on his band. When asked what charity he would like fans to support bassist Joey Clement chose the American Diabetes Association (ADA), which he said is a cause that is deeply personal to him. Joey has told a group called “Cook Fans Conquering Cancer” that he is grateful for any opportunity to raise money for this cause which is so near & dear to his heart, and he considers it his personal responsibility to do whatever he can for ADA.
After some investigating I found out that Joey suffers from Type One Diabetes himself. So if you would like to make donations to Joey’s personal cause and you go to this link https://secure2.convio.net/adap/…
All donations will be recognized in Joey’s honor.

So today is Guitarist Neal Tiemann’s 26 or 27th birthday (there is a bit of a dispute but I think it’s 26.) Between David Cook’s on Saturday and this today I would not be surprised if the entire band is hung over somewhere until Christmas. Regardless of how the boys are partying, and let’s face it there is a reason for the phrase “party like a rock star,” I just wanted to send a big Happy Birthday out to the man they call Doctor, and here’s to hoping that by his next birthday someone explains why they call him the doctor.

straight from the group that manages Jet nightclub, from their PR team, so it should be fairly reliable:
- It will not be aired live on 12.31
- It is being filmed December 30th at Jet nightclub at the Mirage in Las Vegas.
- Tickets are going on sale — *THIS* week, exact day/date unknown.
- Place to keep checking to see if tickets are up yet & to buy is www.wantickets.com
- There *will* be a ‘premium’ opportunity, similar as skip the line.
- Ages 21 and up — no exceptions.
- Dress is ‘festive’ (I have absolutely no idea what that means.)
