We are canceling Monday and Tuesday’s shows to allow David time to deal with personal family matters. Please respect his privacy at this time. David would like everyone to rest assured that we are working with the Universities to reschedule the shows that are missed.

>> Dave tossing football 1 / Dave tossing football 2Unfortunately, David couldn’t make it through “Permanent” and later needed some alone time. However, I am happy to report that Cook’s bad day was not caused by anything bad going on with older brother Adam. He was having a good day and Art, the tour manager reassured fans as well. 

Yesterday David Cook and the band attempted to regain some sanity with a concert at Susquehanna University and thankfully, there was no misbehavior by any fans.  To make the show even more of the opposite of the weekend, this show was not only campus only, but also tickets were free for students. While I’m happy that the guys could relax, this does mean that there are fewer reports coming out of the show however one student did provide the following set list.

Ok so I have yet to mention that Ryan Star, David Cook’s opening act, put on a really great show as well. He really gets no recognition at all and I’d say he is damn good at his job. He is a great singer and he has an album 11:59 coming out later this year and single off that album ‘Last Train Home’, was featured on the soundtrack for the 2007 film, P.S. I Love You.  

A bit more trivia about Star: 

The New York native’s real name is actually Ryan Kulchinsky and when he was 14 he formed a first band called Stage that released a handful of EPs, and a self-titled album on Maverick Records in 2003. He also was a contestant on CBS reality show Rock Star Supernova, but he didn’t win.  

Lastly, he is a very tall man who fails around uncontrollably while performing and Saturday night decided to climb on a speaker, injuring his finger. He later told me that it “Bleeping hurt” and I hope he feels better soon.

Now if you can remember my March 20^th post “a message to David Cook “fans””  you can see that I was beginning to get concerned about David Cook and the band’s safety some supposed harmless fans. Over the weekend the topic even came in my conversations with member of Cook’s Musical Circle (I’m not naming names) more than once and now David himself was forced to make a stand, releasing the following statement on his MYSPACE:  

ATTENTION!
Hey everyone,
First off, I want to say thank you to everyone who has been coming out to the shows since my last post. The vibe at these shows has been amazing. Secondly, I have to address some behavior that has become disturbing. We pride ourselves on being accessible to you as fans, but in contrast, we do enjoy what little privacy we can muster. To that end, the efforts by some fans to find our hotel rooms, call our hotel rooms, attach things to our bus, etc., is something I have to condemn. This relationship only works when it remains healthy for both parties, and should this behavior continue, the only thing we can do is take more preventative measures to maintain our privacy, which in turn makes us less accessible to you. I hope this doesn’t come off as harsh. I merely want to nip this in the bud so we can continue to have a great experience with all of you at the shows we have coming up. Take care and see you at the next show.~D 

I did see some stuff like this going on and i was literally sickened by it. When I saw him in that hotel trying unsuccessfully to maintain a few seconds of a regular life it was not this amazing rocker but rather a very lonely man who just wanted to have some fun with his friends and couldn’t.  

Anyway so the tour breaks for a rest today and I hope the guys get some time to decompress so they are ready to reenter the madness Monday, they deserve it.  

Ok so my trip to Atlantic City was beyond belief but there is a lot of it that I would like to keep in my heart and off the net. There are a lot of things that I feel would be a violation of trust and, more importantly privacy of the band, if I disclosed what I saw, heard, ect. , I will say that when the fans are rational acting the boys can be the nicest people you will ever meet.

Ok so now that I got the disclaimer out of the way on to the show. Below is the set list, complete with a bevy of videos. And I just want to end by saying that, anyone who doesn’t see what’s so special about David Cook needs to reserve judgment until they see him do it live. He puts on an amazing show that should not be missed if you have the chance.

As I mentioned yesterday I’m going Atlantic City. I hope to get some time with the boys and anything that comes of it is gravy. However, I’ve heard of people following them around constantly (like to Mc Donald’s and to their rooms) and cornering DC in a bar to the point where he couldn’t even get himself a drink and then when he left so that the bar regained control and was not a safety risk, these bitches (I’m sorry there is no nice word to say) actually had the audacity to say that he got too big to care about his fans.  If that is not enough, the same group (at least partially-there is a J.S. who brags about this constantly on fan sites stating these encounters as proof of her friendship with the guys) followed the bus to rest stops and “accidentally” ran into them.

This is called STALKING and along with ruining life for other fans, you are ruining it for yourselves. If these kinds of scary things keep up, this band will be forced to end all connection with fans, especially the ones who have no sense of reality and think that the band thinks these, “it so funny running into you again,” visits are cute.

So guess who will be attending the sold out Atlantic City show that David Cook is performing tomorrow, I’ll give you a hint… Me!  Let’s just say it wasn’t easy but I managed to finagle it with the little bit of connections (and lack of sanity) I managed to have in this world.

This means that I may or may not have a blog about the show right away; however I should have some sort of blogs up that I can post early tomorrow morning, so stay tuned.

I don’t know how I’ll react if he does “Permanent” (if you don’t know the story about my aunt read “Why David Cook” ) while I’m sitting so close he can sweat on me. I’m hoping to hold my composure but I got water-proof make-up in case.
