Monday Night (March 16) David Cook and the band were at Bloomsburg U for there last concert before going to california to film a segment of American Idol. i put the set list below out there aren’t many videos since it was a students and faculty only performance (and i guess nobody thought to video it.)
Heroes
We’re Only Honest When We’re Sleeping (2007, unreleased)
Come Back To Me
Permanent
Make Me (MWK cover)
Mr. Sensitive
Hunger Strike (Temple of the Dog cover)
Kiss on the Neck Video 1
Declaration
*crowd chanting … David Cook! … David Cook! …*
Bar-ba-sol
Light On
As i mentioned, Cook and co are currently in L. A. filming a perfomance on Idol. IF you can get tickets to tonight’s show, i suggest that you get them as you’ll get to see the performance early because the actual episode airing the song (or songs) from tonight will not be on until April 1.
Also a side note, if you are a member of the twitter comunity, Neal Tieman IS NOT on there. that person is an impostor. FYI

(Disclaimer: I’m not 100 percent sure that these are the actual lyrics, simply what I think they are when I listened to the song numbers of times. It’s not the most accurate way to learn lyrics but since Cook has yet to release an official lyrics section for the songs that did make it on to the album, this is the only way I have.)
Hope you had a good time while you were here
such a beautiful view for a beautiful girl, this time of year
Now here we are looking back, through wasted photographs
Blank pages filling up our past
No, it’s not funny, but all that I can do is laugh
You can keep my heart, the one you took when you walked* away
You can keep my heart, it’s got no use here, call it a souvenir, call it a souvenir
Quite a trip that we never should have taken
I just can’t believe how you’ve broken me since you went away
Now all you do is promise everything, tell me you’ll stay
So many signs of decimation missed there (So many signs I guess I missed)
You can keep my heart; the one you took when you walked away
You can keep my heart it’s got no use here. Call it a souvenir, call it a souvenir
So many pages that got filled up
So many lessons to learn about love
So many days, so many ways, so many suns, so many rains
All you got was my broken heartHope you had a good time while you were here You can keep my heart, the one you took when you ran away
You can keep my heart, it’s got no use here, call it a souvenir, call it a souvenirYou can keep my heart
You can keep my heart
Call it a souvenir
*thanks Laura Beth

Guys we should all do this for Joey!
http://diabeteshandprint.com/
I mean we don’t all have to write Joey on our hands, we could choose someone we love or if you want Joey. And here is the best part, I’m going to Atlantic city this weekend and I’m going to tell him about it and if you want to put the picture of the hands up here or message me them, I can put them all together and give them to him.
What do you all think?
In case you are wondering about the concert last night, that will be coming but I wanted to post this asap

Ok so it took longer than expected but I now have videos of every song that David Cook and the possibly soon to be named* band performed on Saturday night in West Virginia. Not only that but you can actually hear the words to Souvenir** so that should be worth a listen.
If that isn’t reason enough to celebrate, there are eight different videos of Cook talking to the audience in some hilarious banter shots. Not bad for the middle of the night huh?
Heroes Video 1 (HQ)
We’re Only Honest When We’re Sleeping (2007 unreleased)
Declaration Video 1 (HQ, partial)
Life on the Moon Video 1 (HQ)
Come Back To Me Video 1 (HQ) / Video 2 (HQ, partial)

*Ok so apparently some fan asked Neal Tiemann if the band was ever going to get an official name and Neal said that they are working through legal stuff but that the name is going to be a throwback to something to do with the band where it all started, Midwest Kings and hinted that it could have something to do with “Anodyne.”
**As for Souvenir, I’m working on trying to decipher the lyrics so hopefully I’ll have that for you in the coming days. I could do it now but honestly I don’t know that I trust my deciphering skills at this time of morning and I’m sort of preoccupied with some stupid stuff on YouTube at the moment.

“You can keep my heart, the one you took when you walked away
You can keep my heart, it’s got no use here. Call it a souvenir”
Heady stuff huh? Well that is part of the surprise I promised last night. Those are two of the lines of David Cook’s newest song “Souvenir,” which didn’t make it on to David Cook (the record) but was performed for the first time at the show. Ok so now the bad news, there is a video but unfortunately you cannot make out most of the lyrics. However you can see how into the song the band is and hear an explanation of the song by David.
Here is the set list; hopefully I can get you more videos later.
Heroes
We’re Only Honest When We’re Sleeping (2007 unreleased)

Come Back To Me

I’ve had as busy day so I’m just getting around to yesterday’s concert and tonight’s has already finished. However the videos from yesterday are, in my opinion, well worth the wait. “The World I Know” was performed again and I’m beginning to think it’s becoming a staple of the show. It only makes sense if it does since David performs it so well and he has listed Collective Soul as one of his favorite bands.
Here’s the set list complete with videos (including one very funny banter)Heroes Video 1 (part 1) / (part 2)
We’re Only Honest When We’re Sleeping (2007 unreleased) Video 1 (HQ, partial)
Declaration Video 1 / Video 2
Life on the Moon Video 1 (pre-song banter) / Video 2 (HQ, part 1) / Video 2 (HQ, part 2)
Come Back to Me Video 1 (partial) / Video 2 (partial) / Video 3 (HQ)
Permanent Video 1 (partial) / Video 2 (snippet) / Video 3 (banter, partial) / Video 4 / Video 5 (HQ)
Kiss on the Neck Video 1 (HQ) / Video 2 (HQ)
Mr. Sensitive Video 1 (pre-song banter “it’s sucks being me…” /
Breathe Tonight Video 1 (HQ) / Video 2 (HQ, snippet)
The World I Know (Collective Soul cover) Video 1 / Video 2 (HQ, partial) / Video 3 / Video 4 (HQ) / Video 5 (HQ)
Light On Video 1 (HQ, partial) / Video 2 (HQ, partial)
Bar-ba-sol Video 1 (HQ, snippet)
A Daily AntheM Video 1 (HQ)
Misc Banter: Video 1 (Did you come here for the hat, or …)
The concert was at a casino and during the day when the boys were gambling and walking around the hotel The staff had to keep calling security to escort them out of the mob in the lobby because they couldn’t get back up to their rooms . Not the greatest situation but apparently the guys got a kick out of it so no harm was done.
As I said, tonight’s show is already over and I’ll have a surprise for you, knock wood, from it tomorrow.

Just some random stuff about David Cook today:
I mentioned a while back that there was a comic strip site that made comics about “little David” Cook. There are two new ones up if you are interested here is the link: http://dcomics.davidcook.com.br/
There is also a really cute picture of David and drummer Kyle Peek at a McDonalds:

And lastly, if you’re not busy tonight, it might be worth your time to listen to the cellcast of the concert tonight. Being that the show is at a casino, it will be a longer set than the usual college shows. Also, rumor has it that opening act Ryan Star will not be performing tonight, no word on why, but if this is true, Cook may have to expand his show even longer to keep concert goers happy. Last night’s Declaration Tour stop was a bit different. There are, at this time, no videos and no pictures of the show. This may be due to the fact that there have been rumors that, not only was there a no camera policy, but also that the security was taking cameras if they saw them. I for one would not have chanced lossing my camera for a few videos and i don’t blame those who attended the show. So the setlist is below but no videos.
Heroes
We’re Only Honest When We’re Sleeping (2007 unreleased)
Breathe Tonight
Mr. Sensitive
Life on the Moon
Come Back To Me
My Last Request
Kiss on the Neck
Make Me (MWK cover)
**The World I Know (cover)
Man in the Box (cover)
Bar-ba-sol
Hot for Teacher
**As for TWIK, which is originally by Collective Soul and is the last song Cook performed as an American Idol Contestant, i find it interesting how Cook continues to do these little surprise numbers (without the band) specifically for his American Idol fans. This is the second song he’s done this with, he’s also done accoustic “Billie Jean” a few times.
This unrelated to the show but while on the topic of that song, i saw a shirt which i think is adorable, it says “The World I Know Got better becasue of David Cook.” That could obvioisly be read like the song sounds better in his version but also that the wearer life improved due to Cook’s Music.
So that’s about all the news i have for today. If anyone still care about American Idol, Kelly Clarkson will be performing on tonight’s result show and rumor has it that last year’s winner will be returning next week, we shall see.

On March 08 (Sunday) David Cook and the declaration tour were in Connecticut. The show, though entertaining, was cut short because the venue had a strict 9 pm stop time and the set starting late.
